We have only a few prototype cubes of pure .9995 osmium! These are extremely difficult and expensive to make. It's your chance to own the densest element in the universe. Each cubic centimetre is pressed into shape with 60 tons of force. Each cube weighs 22.5 grams or more!
With its signature blue tint and insane density, it's a must-have for the serious metal collector. It's the first time we've offered Osmium as a cube because generally, it's too difficult to work with.

Laser engraved. Lasts forever. For true metal lovers!
I am very happy with my cubic centimeter of the densest element in the universe, Osmium. The sample weighed in at 22.6 grams, as advertised. By contrast, Magnesium weighs only 1.7 grams for the same sized cube, and Lead weighs 11.3 grams. The Osmium cube came elegantly displayed in a metal container with a glass top window. I appreciate the difficulty involved in working this metal into a precise cube of one centimeter because of it’s hardness and toxicity when fine particles are created if milled and polished. The package arrived in a timely manner, considering it was shipped from the PRC, but was held up for two days by US Customs, Homeland Security for some reason. They saw fit to open the package for examination, but did not break the seal on the smaller black box containing the Osmium. Customs gave it all their seal of approval, and UPS made it easy to track it on it’s journey. The kind folks at Krinite and Polar Metals also included a beautiful free sample of Bismuth metal crystal in a nice display.
