Why Tungsten?

We worked with our Tungsten cubes factory to produce the KILO Tungsten sphere. The manufacturing process is truly amazing. Tungsten has the highest melting point of any element, and you can't easily build a container to melt it. Instead, it is formed using expensive compression methods. The factory uses a giant steel press to apply pressure of 60 tons per square inch. The result is then shaped with high precision lathes and polished.

Tungsten is an extremely rare element (only 100 parts per billion in the earth's crust).

I like leaving my Tungsten sphere on my sofa. The piercing density gives me a calming feeling somehow. It has shocked my guests on more than one occasion. It's difficult for them to wrap their minds around the density! :)
